the bond we have

I remember the times when the three of us are still together. The bonds we have, the laughters we've shared, the adjustments we've done, and the struggles we've faced. Our friendship has been a very useful tool towards surviving in a different kind of environment that we were and still are in to. We all entered into the same school in college and manage to keep ourselves composed despite all the adversities in a different setting. We shared a lot of things that made us go through our college life.

Now that we are already in our third year in college, we may say that we have adjusted and learned the tricks of the trade here in Iligan but I want to tell you that I still look back to all the experiences we've had before when we first set our feet in college. Every time I do that, I can't help but smile and say 'how come we were able to make it?'

Though Suzette had already transferred to another school, I know that it can never break the bond that the three of us had shared. MIRENZETTE will always and forever be us!

REMEMBER LOVE

Through hearing the song entitled, "Man in the mirror", by Michael Jackson, I had realized that a lot of people had forgotten the essence of love.

It is true that love is an indispensible necessity for every human heart but I guess, nowadays, it's somewhat invisible.

As we can see it, there are a lot of street children whose lives depend on what trash cans can offer. Also, there are people who just throw excess food even if they know that there are so many indigent families who can't even eat thrice a day. What a pitiful situation it is.

Perhaps, we are just victims of selfishness and if only we possess love in order to conquer it, then we can all have and share a better place. A place where each of us has the virtue of helping the hopeless, comforting the battered, sheltering the homeless, and defending the abused.

As what the song says,"I'm starting with the man im the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways. And no message could've been any clearer. If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make a change.", we could certainly fulfill this if we do just one simple yet invincible thing----REMEMBER LOVE..

First World Philippines

Though we always want to become a First World Country, still it is unreachable. Different kinds of crisis struck the country and even turn our lives upside down. What are the reasons for this?
Let us first consider what a First World Philippines is all about: (1) Moral Integrity, (2) Social Justice, (3)Cultural Identity, (4) Good Governance, and (5) Economic Prosperity. Taking part on moral integrity, surely we can't foresee progress because of the fact that even our president is facing a lot of moral issues like corruption.

On the other hand, in the aspect of social justice it is very obvious how justice in our country is being played by people who have lots of money and are prominent. There are also instances that those who are poor and innocent are adjudged as guilty rather than those rich who committed the sin. Is this what we call justice?

Another aspects are cultural identity and good governance. Again, it is very hopeless knowing that the politicians are divided and are always fighting each other because they both want to have the power. Such are the opposition and the administration groups.

The last aspect is economic prosperity. Can the country prosper if the people are suffering economically? Obviously, the price of rice per kilo is continuously increasing and I wouldn't be surprised if in the future , rice will be sold per grain.

These problems are the reasons of our failure toward attaining a First World Philippines but if we start in ourselves in learning to change for the betterment of mankind, then surely we can let the unreachable first world country drop into our hands.
